If only John Cornyn hadn’t long ago opted for the Yellowstone-style brand on his chest to signal his forever allegiance to the McConnell Ranch…but he did, and today the accumulated sins of the Senator from Texas and the gang of Failure Theater chums he chose to associate with came home to roost in no small way under the “Breaking News” banner: TRUMP ENDORSES KEN PAXTON IN TEXAS SENATE RACE. The best part of the story is the stench that got splattered all over the useless party in the process:
The president was crystal clear, the deal was; pass the Save America Act and I’ll save Cornyn. This was John Thune’s choice.

The additional poke at the Instapundit link: “Literally all they had to do was pass voter ID, which 80% of the country supports.“
The next best part of the story is the exposure of just how clueless and stupid some of the Senators in the useless party really are:
Sen. Murkowski says TX is all but lost to Dems now
Senate Republicans are livid with Trump. Just now, Sen. Wicker remained stone-faced (appeared to be intentional) for about 20 seconds as he walked into lunch and we asked him for his reaction

and
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) reacts to President Trump’s endorsement of Ken Paxton:
“I don’t understand it. He is an ethically challenged individual. John Cornyn is an outstanding senator and deserved, in my judgment, the president’s support, obviously it’s the president’s call, but I’m disappointed that he did it.”

The ignorance of Murkowski and the stupid entitlement demonstrated by Collins would be funny if they weren’t just so pathetic. The kicker was to listen to Hugh Hewitt and his guest on the drive home from work as they whined about the endorsement and the risk to the Senate seat now. I hope they are just that ignorant of Texas politics…the alternative would not be that surprising though.
Lastly, from the comments at that Instapundit link, more as to the “why” associated with the need for this kind of public shaming of the Failure Theater kids:
*** THE ELEPHANT IS IN THE ROOM! ***
The elderly Senator McConnell is BEING HANDLED by his Chief Of Staff Terry Carmack!
CARMACK WAS BLOCKING THE SAVE ACT, confirmed by Tim Burchett in Feb.2026.
