On American History’s Greatest Buffoon – ‘A wan vision of failure’

As noted in the final hours of the presidential administration that operated in his name:

That [Biden] was always going to be a pathetically bad president was never in doubt. … The Office of the President of the United States has never been smaller than it is today.

Coming up on eleven months later now, the office is (perhaps) larger than ever and almost every day the actions of the current occupant provide comparative reminders of just how small the previous man really was. But there are also other measures the pop up that do not require the presence of the Trump shadow to gage the overall smallness of Joe Biden and his legacy. In providing the quote used in the title above, Madam Althouse links us to a New York Times article titled Biden Has Raised Little of What He Needs to Build a Presidential Library and notes: “That article has 4 authors. 4 authors in search of a President.” (I do not have access to the article…as if I would read it anyway. Althouse and her commenters are enough for me.)

Jokes and mockery (a la “He’ll be lucky to have a bookmobile”) are fitting…but we are also reminded quite often about how unfunny it is to have a corrupted hollow vessel in possession of the Oval Office for 1,461 or so days:

This data is mind blowing

“Non-citizens Social Security numbers issued during the Biden Administration

2021: 270,425
2022: 590,193
2023: 964,163
2024: 2,095,247

  • The Biden administration gave more non-citizens Social Security cards in 4 years than live in the state of Iowa
  • If we just took the amount of people they gave those to in 2024. That’s more people than live in Nebraska, Idaho, West Virginia, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Montana, Rhode Island, Delaware, South Dakota, North Dakota, Alaska, DC, Vermont and Wyoming

It would be the 39th largest state in the union. Just the amount of people, non-Americans, they gave Social Security cards to last year.”

“Gee, I wonder why that escalated so much in 24. Because what are you probably more likely to legitimately be able to claim if you’ve got a social security card, citizenship voting. Mm-huh.”

As with the now nearly universal acknowledgement of the “failure” of Obamacare (hint: it was never meant to not fail), the many “failures” of the Biden administration will also be seen clearer with time. But when the agenda is to destroy America and Americanism – as was the case for the entire Obama-Biden Era – the historical assessment of success versus failure clearly has opposite meanings to those at different ends of the political spectrum…and the true balance across that spectrum has been distorted more and more every cycle since 2010 by corrupted funding practices, illegal immigration, and blatant rigging of elections in Blue cities and states. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in 2028 after four years of clean-up work and an electorate (presumably) more representative of a true We the People.
