‘…there can only be one rule. I didn’t want this to be the rule, but they overruled us. So they can choke on their new rule…’

The history of the last decade and a half or so, as seen very clearly from this keyboard in real-time but when finally compiled for later generations from the perspective of time and evidence only revealed after the fact, should document the passage through four key phases: (1) the Progressive surge under Obama that fully intended to forever be cut loose from the Constitutional restraints of the Republic, (2) the smothering of the Tea Party movement by the Uni-Party, (3) the return of the Tea Party spirit utilizing the vehicle of MAGA/Trumpism, and (4) the extended temper tantrum of the Progressive forces and their enablers within our perimeter to destroy Constitutional Liberty (and the spirit that craves it) at any cost. There have been many points during this period, one of which (call it “The first year of Trump 2.0” or “2025” for short) we are experiencing now, where the title passage above describes the sub-context of much of what is going on – and mostly missed (intentionally or not) – in the daily headlines. The line comes from a column discussing yet another example driving the sentiment;

Seditionist Blue Falcon Democrats Stunned to Be Held Accountable for Their Behavior

The problem with getting a free pass on your responsibilities is that, after a while, you begin to think that you don’t have any. That’s what’s happened to the Democrats. They’ve gotten so used to thinking the rules don’t apply to them because ORANGE MAN BAD that when the rules do get applied to them, it feels like outrageous oppression. Take the “illegal orders” video, a combination of stupidity, narcissism, treachery, and blue falconry rarely equaled even by the low standards of the Dems.

The six schmucks who appeared in it have been congratulating themselves on their “courage” for the last week. It was the courage to cajole other people into nuking their lives for a news cycle of Democrat spin. Except this time, there is some fallout on the people pushing the button. The Trump administration could have given them a pass. They are used to perpetually getting a pass. But he isn’t offering one this time, and they are mortified. Oh well.

I tend to defer to free speech even where there is a technical argument for prosecution. I would normally let it be handled in the political arena. But these aren’t normal times, thanks largely to Captain Mark Kelly et al. I have to fall back on the threshold question – what’s the rule? The new rule, supported by all six of these people, is to use the legal system to target political opponents. Would they give Trump or any of his folks a pass? We know the answer because they not only did not do so, but actively invented crimes to harass them. Well, there can only be one rule. I didn’t want this to be the rule, but they overruled us. So they can choke on their new rule.

This investigation is not frivolous because a potential charge lies here. This is not, like the “crimes” of Donald Trump, a frame job manufactured out of whole cloth.

[Emphasis added]

The rules as they have been eroded into our system by Progressive/Uni-Party/Ruling Class forces over decades were – and still are by those forces – assumed to just be accepted as the system now. (A very lucrative and profitable system at that…see Pelosi, Nancy.) And they mostly were, until the late-Bush / early-Obama era. The 2008 housing/mortgage crisis, the auto bailout, and the “bending” of the rules (to be charitable) to ram Obamacare down our throats changed that.

Fast forward to today and I think it is a mistake to see “The first year of Trump 2.0” as the battle worn leader of the Tea Party Spirit attempting to play by the new rules on the disfigured field created by decades of corruption and progressivism. The proper context for “2025” (and maybe longer) is the period when Trump has brought all the heavy equipment out to relevel the playing surface in preparation for the phase. I suspect that there remains time – futile as it is – for the others to get over their temper tantrum and reset the rulebook. Otherwise, likely immediately following the mid-term elections (regardless of the outcome), they will be treated to much encouragement to choke on their own rules.

Unfortunately, Progressive brain rot likely ensures the temper tantrum will continue. Oh well.

UPDATE (11-29-2025) –Exactly:

The rule is that we are to blame Mark Kelly’s political rhetoric for the shooting of our National Guardsmen in DC.

This rule was created by Mark Kelly when his wife was shot in 2011 by a deranged lunatic for completely apolitical reasons. Kelly and the Democrats and the media blamed Sarah Palin, Andrew Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck for the shooting.

This is the rule. It’s HIS and his party’s rule.

But of course, ‘Political opportunism knows no shame.
