I have written many times of the Un-Serious Era in America. In many ways, I presume we are well past peak un-seriousness but there will be those who cling to the blissful comfort found in that state of ignorance for quite some time. While it is little more than Exhibit 1,487,291 of the phenomenon, today’s example is destined to be a classic:
The obtuse focus on an obviously irrelevant metric may play well to the shallow, braindead CNN audience, but it is hard to get past the fact that everyone not named Scott Jennings who spoke in that clip is a complete dolt.
