RECALL: ‘For those reasons, this Court agrees with the government that term-of-office provisions do not themselves limit the removal power.’ (UPDATED)

Back in December I posted the following about today’s news and what I’m sure the reaction will be all day tomorrow:

Progressives from sea to shining sea will, of course, lose what is left of their minds in late January February if Mr. Trump goes on a firing spree. And then there will be the local varieties of virtue-signaling soft center righties and those suffering from the severe anti-intellectualism caused by acute TDS…many of whom are already so very worried about Trump using his very real, legitimate powers (ala recess appointments, tariffs, etc.)…providing all sorts of side-show comedy along the way.

That was based on remembering my not-so-distant history about the Left and their Never Trump enablers inside our perimeter…and this:

Trump can fire anybody he wants, thanks to Sean Spicer

Thanks in part to a court fight former Trump White House spokesman Sean Spicer lost over his firing by Biden from a three-year term to the Board of Visitors to the United States Naval Academy, the incoming president will have the legal backing to dump any of Biden’s over 4,000 appointments who try to stick around.

I bring this up because of the late breaking news this evening:

Trump to All Biden-Era DOJ US Attorneys: ‘You’re Fired!’

As I said in that earlier post: No doubt it will be a bumpy ride over the next four years…but do try to enjoy the little entertaining nuggets along the way. This is one of them. Let the NT chirping begin…

UPDATE: It is at moments like this that I think back to those long ago condescending beratements by those more heroic and essential than me:

You want power but you don’t want to earn the power through the system bequeathed to you as an American. You want to invest it one man with 4,000 lawsuits, 2 impeachments and 92 indictments shackled to his ankles. And you can think that it’s bull, and you can think that your fellow Americans are stupid for caring about it. Good luck with that. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Hope it works out for you.

Makes me giggle every time I read it. Good times, yes, good times.
