Much has happened in Trump World (and piled up on my desk) over the last eighteen or so days while I have been preoccupied with more important things. It would be very hard to summarize completely here but I do want to note some things to document this point in the process.
In posts now safely hidden (and inaccessible to me) over at the legacy site there are a couple of conversation about one of Obama’s favorite tools for corruption – Samantha Power. You may remember that he used her (or her auto signature) as Ambassador to the UN to unmask hundreds of US citizens through the fully (intentionally) corrupt FISA processes. Well, to no one’s surprise, fully corrupt and corruptible talents are always recycled back into the system (via Instapundit):
USAID and the Power That Be…or Was
The Pandora’s box that is USAID, which, now that it’s opened, keeps belching out more evidence of the malevolent, unrestricted inner workings of a rotten, subversive bureaucracy, had to have someone in charge of it for these past few years of particularly egregious anti-American spending. …
Power, with all that unaccountable money at her disposal, was also on Biden’s National Security Council, making sure that USAID would be playing an ‘important role’ in things including geopolitical issues. …
… Power, like Valerie Jarrett and the rest of the malevolent, globalist, anti-American Obama eggheads, work best in stealth behind curtains of impenetrable layers of bureaucracy.
USAID was the dream job for one of Obama’s most trusted and lethal lieutenants. Billions flowing in, no accountability to overseers on how it flowed out, and the ability to meddle in affairs domestic and foreign under the guise of ‘saving the children’ or ‘democracy’ or ‘whatever’ whilst writing checks that never required receipts of delivery of goods for. …
It is becoming pretty well established that USAID seems to have bought and paid for almost the whole of print and online mainstream media. …
Power is out of a job for a bit but they’ll circle the wagons around her soon enough.
There is no one to pardon her should anyone in the Trump administration start REALLY digging.
I would bet there’s already a shovel in hand somewhere.
Interesting side note from the piece: “As you watch the resistance Trump’s nominees face, remember that Samatha Power was confirmed by a Senate vote of 68-26. 19 Republicans voted in favor of Samantha Power running USAID.” Go to the link to see the names…and, yes, that little rat bastard Mitch McConnell is on the list.
As the total corruption of the system (and the massive theft of our tax dollars) becomes clearer with each breaking news story these days, a few more links to important points are worth dropping in here. The first (via Instapundit):
The best thing about DOGE gutting everything is it has conclusively demonstrated that there is no organic left. There is no lefty grass roots. It’s all been one giant, organized, top down scam, where we’ve been footing the bill for our own destruction.
(I will just add that this revelation should be quite embarrassing for the rationalizers of the Soft Center Right who have spent their time and energy staking out middle ground between their big-tent-ism principles and a potemkin opposition…all in the name of opposing the media creation of a fictional villain character in their anti-Trump narrative. But I digress.)
The second notable link points to the importance of staying the course with DOGE. To paraphrase the point: “It’s not just the opposition researchers, fake news readers, controllers of information (at all levels), and stool pigeons in sort-of-center-right-ish comment sections (i.e., purveyors of MSNBC talking points) that need to be exposed – it’s finding out who is paying them and who they are connected to.” I borrowed the root of that from another important piece that I bookmarked several days ago (via Instapundit)…that starts and ends with these lines:
Elon and the End of the American Stasi
In January 1990, two months after the Berlin Wall fell, the agents of the Stasi, or East Germany’s feared State Security Service, began shredding and burning files. They had been spying on their fellow citizens for decades. Communism was now crumbling and they had to destroy the evidence of their evil.
It was too late. On January 15, a throng of angry Germans broke into the offices of the Stasi. As one journalist put it, “The invasion of the complex of almost 50 buildings on Normannenstrasse in East Berlin sent the message to the East German leaders trying in vain to save their crumbling regime that the people would not allow the Stasi to be relaunched in another form, with a more ‘acceptable’ face.”
…
What Elon Musk has done in the past few weeks is the digital equivalent of those angry Germans storming the Stasi offices 35 years ago. If my experience is any indication, what he is going to uncover is going to shock the nation and change American history.
The material between those pull quotes is worth the time to go read.
Ultimately, I cannot imagine that the pace of current events on this front can continue…but the mission is very important. Even if the Left refuses to acknowledge it and the Soft Center Right insists on rationalizing around it, documenting the insidious corruption of the system by and for the Ruling Class so a small contingent of future honest historians to use must be done while it can be done. Again: It is not just the face of the corrupt that must be exposed…it is finding out who is paying them and who they are connected to.
UPDATE: I cannot resist adding this one (via Instapundit):
Bombshell Report Links USAID to Trump’s Impeachment
…USAID has clearly proven to be the most prolific left-wing slush fund in history. They’ve funneled tens of millions of dollars to the Democrat-media complex and other radical left-wing causes, domestically and worldwide, without congressional oversight.
But it keeps getting worse: USAID and OCCRP attempted to conceal their connections to each other. According to Public, OCCRP threatened to file a lawsuit against Public after inquiries were initially made. But the truth has been exposed: the content produced by OCCRP was weaponized against Donald Trump back in 2019, sparking his first impeachment.
Congratulations, folks, our taxpayer dollars helped fund it.
No wonder Democrats and Never Trump are so angry USAID is being exposed.
[Emphasis Added…and I admit I inserted the “and Never Trump” to that last line. But from this keyboard it is hard to not notice the ongoing temper tantrum from that contingent.]
Washington DC housing market plummets as DOGE lays off thousands of federal workers
In November, the median home in the nation’s capital was worth $699,000…
There has also been a surge in new listings of homes over $1 million. According to TKL, there are 525 listings worth $1 million and 44 listings worth $5 million, suggesting DOGE layoffs could affect people in high-profile jobs.

SIDE NOTE
Welcome to my little outpost…the war on intellectual dishonesty continues. While the tide is turning on the big stage, it is not surprising to see the smaller fish from the crumbling alliance (the Left and the Soft Center Right) lash out at the voices who have been persistent in exposing their contortionist rationalizing and blatant anti-intellectualism. Those with power to do so will use it in what can be hoped will be their final temper tantrum before the collapse of the corrupt game they have enjoyed for far too long.
