Comedy Gold – ‘For those reasons, this Court agrees with the government that term-of-office provisions do not themselves limit the removal power.’

As posted over at the legacy site back on December 10:

Have I mentioned that Second-Term Trump is going to be a whole lot of fun?

Not being a lawyer, and the fact that I have not really bothered to read the whole thing, I openly admit that there may be a whole lot in this Spicer v. Biden decision that isn’t quite as fun as I want to believe. But, for now, I am just going to trust the good Professor from Instapundit from earlier today and enjoy the possibilities:

Trump can fire anybody he wants, thanks to Sean Spicer

Thanks in part to a court fight former Trump White House spokesman Sean Spicer lost over his firing by Biden from a three-year term to the Board of Visitors to the United States Naval Academy, the incoming president will have the legal backing to dump any of Biden’s over 4,000 appointments who try to stick around.

Progressives from sea to shining sea will, of course, lose what is left of their minds in late January if Mr. Trump goes on a firing spree. And then there will be the local varieties of virtue-signaling soft center righties and those suffering from the severe anti-intellectualism caused by acute TDS…many of whom are already so very worried about Trump using his very real, legitimate powers (ala recess appointments, tariffs, etc.)…providing all sorts of side-show comedy along the way.

No doubt it will be a bumpy ride over the next four years…but do try to enjoy the little entertaining nuggets along the way.
